FACILITIES

Restaurant at night timePower: even though we are located many miles off the grid, natures’ source provides us with clean green energy. Continuous electricity using solar and micro hydro flows throughout the lush, jungle setting. Our dedication to energy conservation and a desire for independence are reflected in the creative designs on the property.

Gilberto drinking at waterfallWater: Mama Noots is located at the headwaters of the Silk Grass Creek, one of four watersheds in the Mayflower Bocawina National Park. The Silk Grass Forest Reserve was Belize's first protected area, designated as a forest reserve in October 1922. Pure spring water is gravity fed from one of the numerous smaller falls found throughout this pristine wilderness. It is safe, delicious sweet water; okay to drink.

Garifuna say: maga rugu wata (sweet water)
Mayan say: saten a x’h uk ha

Communication: Two satellite dishes provide internet access, music and television. Telephone calls can be considered pricey from the resort; however wireless service is offered free to our guests.

Road: Offering you total privacy and security, we are located in a mountain valley with just one access point. Mayflower Junction is located at Mile Six on the Southern Highway to an all year dirt road, four wheeling during the rainy months, fun!
